Delivery Logistics: All our Timber and Building Material products will be delivered by 3rd party vehicles.

Kerbside delivery applies as standard, but we will typically try to deliver to your front garden or driveway – We will leave the product in a safe location adjacent to the main roadway, but off of any public highways.

**If a delivery scheduled is to a gated community, this will need to be communicated to us in advance and access provided. Where restricted access applies, if waiting times are encountered for the delivery, then additional charges may be incurred.

Cancellations, Exchanges; Failed Deliveries:

• For any orders that are returned (unless deemed faulty), the customer is liable for the return shipping fees equivalent to that incurred in the original order (Building Material orders also incur a 75% charge of the initial order value).
• In the unlikely event that we’re unable to complete the scheduled delivery due to access restrictions or a non-secure delivery location, the customer is responsible for the restocking and redelivery fees. If the delivery can’t be rescheduled, then no refund is available.
• If your products are faulty, please email photo evidence over within 24 hours for review.
• All returns or exchange requests need communicating to us via email or telephone within 3 Working Days to be considered (faulty, or not).
• If your order arrives incorrect (missing items etc.), this also needs communicating to us via email or telephone within 3 Working Days to be considered (faulty, or not).

What is Plasterboard

Plasterboard, or sometimes referred to as drywall is a panel of material which tends to be pressed between a backer and a facer which is utilised in the making of ceilings and interior walls.

It is fast to set up and reasonably priced. Once the plasterboard is installed, it can be finished with various treatments including paint, wallpaper, tiles, wainscoting and rendering.

Plasterboard is used as an alternative to plaster and can cover existing walls or form new ones when fixed to frames and studs.

Where is Plasterboard Used?

In most cases, plasterboard is used for lining existing walls and ceilings – or to build partitions within an existing space. While all types of plasterboard provide some level of insulation, many will have additional benefits, dependant on which plasterboard you purchase.

Different Types Of Plasterboard

There are different types of plasterboard, and each one has a different characteristic and is suitable for different situations. for most applications where normal sound levels, structural properties and fire specifications are found. Normal wallboard can be fixed at a double thickness to give greater resistance with fire and sound levels.

Insulating Plasterboard – This plasterboard is similar to common wallboard. It’s made of gypsum as well, but it has insulating foam on its front side. This makes it a great thermal insulator.

Acoustic Plasterboard – This type of board has a higher density core providing a good level of sound insulation. It is effective on thin walls and ceilings making it very useful in blocks of flats.

Fireboards – Fireboard is fire resistant plasterboard. It has glass fibre in its core. It’s commonly used for building walls between houses and garages. It’s able to resist fire in most domestic situations. The fire board is usually pink and can be painted and plastered.

Water Resistant Boards – This type of board features water repellent additives in the core making them suitable for a base for tiling some wet areas. This type of plasterboard usually comes with a green face and is not usually plastered.
